Tile & Grout Cleaning Disclosures
Important Notices for Your Scottsdale Tile & Grout Cleaning Service
Thank you for choosing Scottsdale Carpet Repair & Cleaning for your tile and grout needs. To ensure transparency and the best possible outcome, here are disclosures you should understand before service begins.
Surface & Pre-Condition Disclosures
- We inspect your tile, grout, and surrounding flooring at the start of service. Hidden damage (cracks, chips, loose tiles, worn seals) may become more apparent during cleaning.
- We are not liable for preexisting damage, loose tiles, or structural issues not obvious before work begins.
- Old or previously applied sealants, waxes, or coatings may reduce cleaning effectiveness or react unpredictably during the process.
Stain Removal & Restoration Limitations
- We use professional, industry-standard cleaning agents and techniques, but some stains may be permanent or only partially removable, especially if embedded or caused by dyes, chemicals, or aging.
- Color variation in grout or tile may result after cleaning due to substrate or mineral deposits.
- Inherent porosity differences among tiles (ceramic, porcelain, stone, etc.) can lead to nonuniform results in appearance or absorption.
Grout Line & Joint Risks
- Extremely worn or eroded grout lines may be more visible or damaged further by deep cleaning, simply because of their condition, not because of a fault in our service.
- We do not re-grout or replace missing grout unless prearranged. Any loose, cracked, or missing grout is the responsibility of the client to repair separately.
Sealing & Post-Service Treatments
- If your project includes sealing, please understand sealants act as protective layers—not cures. They slow future staining but cannot prevent all soiling or discoloration.
- Sealing should be scheduled once the tile and grout are completely dry. Moisture trapped under sealant may lead to efflorescence or discoloration over time.
Moisture, Drying & Wicking
- During cleaning, moisture may penetrate grout, tile backs, or adjoining materials. Excess moisture or condensation can cause wicking, where soils reappear after drying.
- Drying time in Scottsdale depends on ambient humidity, tile thickness, ventilation, and climate. Typical drying can take from several hours to 24 hours.
- Running A/C, exhaust fans, or dehumidifiers enhances drying. Avoid walking on freshly cleaned surfaces until fully dry.
Pricing, Scope, & On-Site Adjustments
- Estimates are based on your description or visible condition, but final pricing is determined on-site, considering actual square footage, condition, and access.
- If we encounter unforeseen obstacles—obstructions, access issues, recessed areas, corners, or extremely soiled zones—scope, time, or cost may be adjusted accordingly.
