Getting Ready for Your Carpet & Tile Cleaning Appointment
Getting Ready for Your Carpet & Tile Cleaning Appointment in Scottsdale, AZ
Helpful Tips to Ensure a Smooth, Successful Cleaning Day
We’re excited to rejuvenate your carpets or tile! To make sure your Scottsdale home or business is perfectly prepped and your service runs smoothly, here’s what to expect—and how you can help.
Before We Arrive: How to Prepare
- Remove small items and clutter
Clear toys, rugs, décor, and other moveable items from the areas we’ll be cleaning so we can reach all surfaces. - Flag fragile or delicate furniture
Let us know about antiques, heirlooms, or items with fragile legs; we’ll work carefully around them. - Secure pets
For their safety (and yours), keep pets in a quiet room or outdoors. Our equipment can be loud and may startle them. - Provide water access
We’ll use a truck-mounted soft-water system that requires a working outdoor spigot. Please ensure access before we arrive.
What Happens During & After Your Service
- Arrival & Notification
Your IICRC-certified technician will call ~30 minutes before arriving. You’ll also receive a confirmation email—complete with a photo of your technician for peace of mind. - Walkthrough & Review
When we arrive, we’ll inspect the carpet or tile areas with you, discuss stains, traffic patterns, or problem spots, and review the scope of work and pricing before proceeding. - Final Walkthrough
After the job is done, we’ll walk you through the results and make sure you're fully satisfied before leaving.
Post-Cleaning Drying Tips
- Carpets usually dry in 6–8 hours, depending on Scottsdale’s humidity and weather conditions.
- Help speed drying by running ceiling fans, HVAC fans, or opening windows (weather permitting).
- We have shoe covers so you can carefully walk over damp carpet without damaging fibers or bringing in dirt.
- Please keep pets and children off the carpet until it’s completely dry to prevent re-soiling or irritation.
⚠️ Understanding Carpet “Wicking”
You might see some stains reappear as your carpet dries—this is called wicking. It happens when a deep-set stain from the backing or pad resurfaces after cleaning. It’s unpredictable and not a sign of poor work—it just means the stain was deeply embedded. We’ll discuss any wicking that might occur before starting.
