Abrash (Intentional or Natural Color Variations)
Variations in rug color, known as abrash, are often part of the original design or due to different dye batches used during weaving. These differences may become more noticeable after cleaning and are not considered defects.
Texture Changes
Some rugs may experience slight texture changes due to fiber realignment during cleaning, even without any actual fiber loss.
Backing Deterioration
Rugs with latex, canvas, or monk’s cloth backings can weaken, crack, or deteriorate over time. Cleaning may accelerate this wear. If necessary, there may be an added fee for backing repair or replacement.
